John began his leasing career in the 1990s when he formed First American Capital Management with a partner. It was with this firm that he showed his ability to do business with Fortune 1000 corporations becoming a vendor to many of them. In fact, the satisfaction of these services enabled him to hold a 1st Tier Supplier relationship with General Motors for 10 years having a master lease agreement in place for their corporate-wide forklifts in North America, Canada, and Mexico. After deciding to move forward in business he had the opportunity to form a company with his son and wife. This became LakeView Leasing and offered similar services as his previous firm but with expanded services.
John is blessed to live on a world class fishery, Leech Lake, and spend time floating around on the pontoon with his wife Linda and their yellow lab.
Gavin began his finance career in 2008 when he formed LakeView Leasing with his father, John Herrera, and mother, Linda Herrera. Upon graduating from Bemidji State University, he hit the ground running with his family owned leasing company. Always interested in business since he was a young boy going to networking events with his dad he wanted to learn from the best. Under the tutelage of his father, he learned about lease agreements, funding agreements, selling and being a partner to corporations. He is also a Small Business Consultant for the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), a program sponsored by the SBA to provide technical assistance to small businesses across the United States.
He enjoys his time in Northern Minnesota where he likes to hunt, fish, kayak and various outdoor activities.
